Implementing legitimate supply lines in the game could enhance strategic logistics by limiting supply and demand. This would create more opportunities for criminals and lawmen, adding a dynamic layer of interaction. Secure checkpoints, like Thieves’ Landing, could serve as negotiation points where resource runners make deals for safe passage. To encourage this, reduce the use of boxes (horse stable resource teleportation) for transportation and promote the use of wagons, making resource management more realistic and strategic. It goes far in the way of world-building, making the server feel more alive. People should be using wagons more often and the law should be accustomed to patrolling supply routes to ensure safe travel for people. If not law, then deals could be made with gang territories for passage and security. Mining resources should only be able to be transported via wagon, as its far too easy to buy numerous mules and boxes, and literally teleport stacks of heavy iron across the map. In doing so, blacksmiths and gunsmiths wouldn’t have such ease of access to resources and ability to always self-supply. This even further adding depth to the economy and resource ecosystem. Additionally, supply-line checkpoints could serve as safehouses but this is just a rant at this point.
TLTR: Don’t allow people to transport certain resources in horses/boxes as stables are cheese’d to teleport goods.
