General Store Catalog and Clock In System

So I just became an owner of a general store and I’ve already had a person more or less ignoring me and buy from the catalog instead while I was standing right behind the counter talking with them and trying to assist them…

That encounter felt very much like Failed RP to me as the person gave me the impression that they really just didn’t want to deal with me and would just much rather pay a bit more by buying from the Store Catalog instead of doing a minute or two of RP with me…

I know for a fact that people who either owns or works at a general store have been asking and almost beggin for the ability to be able to turn off the Catalog when someone is working in the Store.

I suggest that along with the “Open Businesses” tab update for the Telegram Station, we also get some kind of “Clock In” System at General Stores.

Now, how I would suggest it to work would be that while you are inside the Store or in the immediate vicinity of the Store, like right outside of the front doors, say on the porch, for the stores that has that, you can be “Clocked In” at the Store which would disable the Store Catalog for any customers coming in to buy something.

However, if you leave the Store for more than say 5 minutes or you go too far from the Counter, you get “Clocked Out” and the Store Catalog would be turned back on for visiting Customers.

This way Customers have to interact and RP with the people that work in the Stores, if they are currently clocked in and working and the people working can’t just clock in to disable the catalog and then go spend time in the nearby Saloon expecting customers to have to come and find them whereever they are. But it would also give the people a bit of time to go to a nearby Bank and store any money they might earn.

This could also be applied to other Stores that has a Catalog like Gun Stores.
