General store overhall

currently the General store business is very unrewarding when it comes to the actual General store supplies, many people just sleep on them or sell them for extremly cheap and just focuse on reselling other businesses items and placeables.

In my opinion, any item that is not a nassasty for the player to access at any time, should not be available from the catalog, just like the gunsmith, only ammo and few starter guns are available, all the good things are locked behind getting an acual gunsmith to sell it to you.

In addition the price diffrance is way too low, General store owner do not care about maintaining stock because you simply buy the items of a menu making it easy to just pick the cheapest one for your supplier, and with already cheap prices, leaving making $5 from a sale of more than 250 units because people do not value their stock, because it is so easly got, and customers do not value the General stores because most items they can get from catalog anyways and they wont bother looking for an open store unless they need to buy bulk.

In short:
1-Rmove all items from the catalog besides important items such as lassos, small books, Horse Brush and all things that the player need to get fast even if they did not find a store open.

2- make most or all the items crafable and not buyable from a menu, this way stores have stock to maintain and have to buy things from other business in order to make their stock, and also would reduce the use of people just destroying the market buy selling extremely cheap items because for them it means nothing and cost them nothing to just interact with the catalog menu few times.

I’m with ya on most, the buying and reselling is a bit much on all RedM servers IMO. Prices I mean need to stay low though, It is 1900 after all, but Stores having to rely more on farms and other businesses is a great idea and to have actual deliveries

Well - I been ranted a lot cause I didn’t compete on price.. but I tried to have the largest selection of goods in the entire state…
and made it easy for people to get whatever they needed…

So I’m with you 100%

I made a suggestion like 8 month ago… give the storeowner the ability to select what they want in catalog sale (mayby except necesities, as you mentioned) - or at least give store owner ability to disable catalog sale when online!
Told it was a great idea, but… nothing further happend…
Mayby they’ll get to it down the line…

My manager sold 1000 xxx and 1000 xxx to another business - total profit was $10…!
He would have been fired if it was storage sale.. :)
but because of no work put into it (counter/menu sale) it was still $10 made… because, if he didn’t go that low.. the guy would have gotten it elsewhere…
