Remove The Ability to pay off Fines with Time ($1 = 1 Min)

Coming from someone who has been a Crim RPer since day one, the ability to ‘pay’ off your fines with every dollar = one minute, is stupid and takes RP from Law. This is a system that I have never seen anywhere else, and again, as a crim, is way too easy. I miss the days where I would fear the FAS and law because if I got caught for unpaid fines, id be forced to pay it, or brought to sisika and pay it off with farming. Doing this would give much more RP to sisika, which is currently a ghost town almost all day everyday.

Law / LFM want crims to fear commiting crimes more, which was a serious problem for a while, but now, the alternatives to make ‘crims’ fear law has made being a crim both boring and arguably not worth it, with punishments oftentimes being literal softbans or 3x as much as the Penal Code states as ‘max possible punishment’ for specific crim scenes (Also not a bad thing, but currently it seems this kind of punishment is almost relied on).

Please bring back fear for fines, which would then allow for the return of more realistic time based punishments that follow Penal Code.

It was something I was hoping to look into when we had the chance to relook at the penal code. Some of the cases that we deal with as judges kinda require the massive sentences, we are bound a little by a hard cap set on fines on the penal code. I know some lawmen do allow people to serve their fine by simply putting them to work and I would like to see that encouraged.

Penal code is getting another look at since that version was put in place when offline time wasn’t a thing hence alot of the caps but with that gone we will need to look at it again.
