Bring Back the Cleavage "Bug"

TL;DR: Re-enable a harmless glitch that let us dress more like RDR2 storymode women.

The cleavage bug was one I discovered (but I’m certain other people knew about it already) a loooong time ago. For some reason, after the tint update, the only thing that has been ‘fixed’ is the cleavage bug. It was relatively simple to do.

Put on outfit with the low-cut blouse and a corset > Put it on again > /vest twice.

This was done because when you put the same outfit on twice, the game showed you wearing a shirt, but did not register it. Thus, when you put a corset on, it applied the torso model for a corset being worn without anything underneath it, pushing up the female player’s breasts while keeping the shirt on OVER the top of it. This is the only way you can mimic the kind of blouse worn by characters like Karen Jones or Anastasia from RDR2 Story Mode. I know this might not seem like a big deal for some people, but this is a harmless bug with 0 drawbacks that allows you to make an outfit that looks more like that seen on risqué women in the actual American 1890s. (Re-enabling this also gives people that are fond of wearing corsets with no undershirt less of a reason to do so, and I believe re-enabling this bug, or making a workaround to make it an actual feature, would greatly broaden the kind of outfits we’re able to make, especially with the new tint system.)

Below is a picture from waaaay back when where I was showing someone the before and after. Free our (era appropriate and RDR2 Story Mode approved) boobs. Also attached are pictures of Karen Jones and Anastasia, who wear similar outfits. This is a solution to a lot of problems with fashion myself and other people in the community have that will allow women to dress like saloon girls/risqué women without dressing like they just jumped out of RDO.

Howdy!

I am not sure if this was intended or not, but the way that RDR2 does things is often times inconsistent, especially when it comes to bugs! This may simply be a case that something was changed and the bug was somehow “fixed” by changing that thin. The tint system I believe was Golden’s fantastic handy work, so he would have to check in on this and see about it.

However, it is not as simple as turning a toggle on or off. Bugs like this happen in very specific scenarios for a reason, they were unintended, good or bad as they might be. It will take time to look into and may never be the same as before. That shoudnt discourage you from finding another creative way to RP out your character :D
